Adopt a Dog or Cat Today – The Shatkin SPCA Animal Rescue Initiative – Dr. Todd Shatkin and Leslie Shatkin
The Shatkin SPCA Animal Rescue Initiative is a joint effort between Dr. Todd Shatkin and his wife, Leslie Shatkin to help homeless animals in WNY find homes.
— Todd E. Shatkin, DDS
BUFFALO, NY, USA, September 21, 2022 /EINPresswire.com/ — Local Buffalo dentist Dr. Todd Shatkin along with his wife and longtime animal advocate Leslie Shatkin has partnered with the Niagara County SPCA to form the Shatkin SPCA Animal Rescue Initiative.
The mission of the Shatkin SPCA Animal Rescue Initiative is to help find homes for homeless animals throughout Western New York and to promote the prevention of animal cruelty worldwide. Their sponsorship provides food, shelter, medicine, and overall love and care for a loving 2-year-old pitbull named “Sonic” in need of a forever home. Along with sponsoring a kennel and pitbull named “Sonic” at the Niagara County SPCA, they have also created a website to help spread the message and encourage the adoption of stray and abandoned cats and dogs throughout the region.
Their website can be found at https://www.shatkinspca.org/ where you can view all currently adoptable cats and dogs and find your new best friend. There are also ways for you to donate, volunteer, foster, and adopt directly from their website.
The SPCA is an independent nonprofit organization that doesn’t receive any funding from the government and relies solely on donations from the community. That’s why initiatives like the Shatkin SPCA Animal Rescue Initiative are so important to help the SPCA house and care for the thousands of animals that come through their shelter each year.
As longtime animal lovers and advocates in the community, Dr. Todd Shatkin and his wife Leslie have also sponsored several local nonprofit organizations in Western New York, including Tabby Town, based out of Blasdell. Tabby Town is dedicated to helping homeless kittens, and cats find good homes and preparing them for public adoption. The Shatkin’s proudly presented a check for $2,500 to Tabby Town, funds that went a long way in helping to provide shelter and care for local cats in need.
We hope you will join the Shatkin SPCA Animal Rescue Initiative and help find forever homes for all of the great homeless cats, dogs, and other animals throughout Western New York and support the SPCA, which does so much for neglected pets in our community.
